Hurricanes Set to Host Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets visit the Carolina Hurricanes Thursday at 7 p.m. ET at Lenovo Center, with the game streaming on ESPN+. Carolina enters at 10-2-2 and leads the league in scoring at about 3.8 goals per game, while Columbus is 5-5 and is coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Philadelphia. The Hurricanes have also allowed fewer goals per game than the Blue Jackets, and one preview argues that Carolina’s stronger offense, defense and special teams make it the likelier team to win by more than one goal. It is the teams’ first meeting of the season; both clubs have listed players unavailable or day-to-day.
