Husband Arrested After Missing Wife’s Burned Remains Found

Gurinder Gill was arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife, Jasmine Gill, after her burned remains, found in El Dorado County, were identified. Jasmine was last seen at their Sacramento home on Sept. 30 and reported missing days later. Investigators said Gurinder claimed ICE agents had taken her into custody, but ICE confirmed no enforcement activity occurred at the home; detectives also cited inconsistencies in his account and an ongoing divorce and child-custody dispute. Gill was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail without bail, and investigators searched two residences associated with him.
