Hyundai Unveils New Tucson With Hybrid Technology

Hyundai has unveiled its fifth-generation Tucson, pairing a squarer “Art of Steel” design with updated lighting, a more spacious cabin and new technology, including the Pleos Connect infotainment system. The South Korean lineup offers turbo-petrol and hybrid powertrains, with available all-wheel drive and rough-road modes; Hyundai also introduced a rugged XRT PRO variant and its first Smart Terrain Assist system. In Korea, the entry-level H-Pick includes features such as a 12.9-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, a surround-view camera and a broad driver-assistance suite, while the market’s base model comes standard with nine airbags. Hyundai reported 15,045 preorders on the SUV’s South Korean debut day, but has not confirmed plans to bring the new model to India.
