Ilhan Omar plans move after raid-linked threats
Rep. Ilhan Omar says she will move from her Washington, D.C., home because her publicly known address and death threats put her family at risk. She described federal agents arriving around 6 a.m. on Oct. 12, searching the residence room by room and taking 17 items as part of an investigation into alleged immigration fraud related to claims about her age when she became a U.S. citizen. Omar denies wrongdoing and calls the probe politically motivated, while the Trump administration says it is investigating possible false statements. A prior review of her immigration records by federal officials in 2019 reportedly found no evidence of fraud.
