Indiana freshman Moody injures knee in practice before season opener
Indiana freshman guard Prince-Alexander Moody is expected to miss an extended period after suffering a knee injury in practice before the Hoosiers’ season opener, coach Darian DeVries said. Moody watched Indiana’s 91-57 win over Eastern Illinois from the bench on crutches, wearing a brace, while the team continues to evaluate the injury. The four-star recruit was expected to add backcourt depth, so Indiana may rely more heavily on guards including Markus Burton and Bryce Lindsay in the coming games.
