Inmate fatally stabbed in fight at DC jail

Malik Williams, 30, died after being stabbed during a fight at the D.C. Central Detention Facility in Southeast Washington. He was found unconscious in the jail infirmary on Sunday morning and was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts. The Department of Corrections said two inmates fought and that one used a makeshift weapon. Police have not identified the suspected attacker, and the homicide remains under investigation by D.C. police and corrections officials. Authorities are offering up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
