Inox’s 3-GW Greenville Cell Plant Enters Equipment Installation
Inox Solar Americas has moved its planned 3-gigawatt solar-cell factory in Greenville, North Carolina, into equipment installation and says it remains on track to start production in the second quarter of 2027. The 515,460-square-foot facility is intended to complement the company’s existing 3-gigawatt module line, creating an integrated U.S. manufacturing operation using its Galaxion monocrystalline cells and Gamma and Vega modules. The company says domestic cell production and expanded sourcing documentation and traceability will improve supply-chain transparency and resilience, reduce reliance on imported cells, and help customers navigate domestic-content and trade requirements. Inox acquired the Greenville manufacturing assets from Boviet Solar in a deal valued at about $750 million.
