Iowa blanks Wisconsin 30-0, reaches 81 unanswered points

Wisconsin was shut out 30-0 by Iowa, extending the Badgers’ struggles in the rivalry and prompting head coach Luke Fickell to call the defeat an “old-fashioned ass-whooping.” Fickell said Wisconsin was unprepared and outmatched in all three phases, acknowledged he had no answers, and pointed to losing the line of scrimmage as a recurring problem. The loss drew sharp criticism from commentators, who called for changes to the coaching staff and described the performance as a major setback for Fickell’s program.
