Iowa, Minnesota Candidates Outline Election Priorities
Minnesota House District 47A representative says recent work included securing $2 million for Woodbury’s La Lake Park, funding roundabout improvements, supporting utility-rate protections and an independent state inspector general, and opposing a proposed immigration detention site. The representative’s stated priority going forward is addressing water-quality needs stemming from PFAS contamination. In Iowa House District 84, Democratic candidate Polly Denison identified public education, jobs and economic growth, and health care as top priorities; she supports increased school funding and teacher pay, opposes the school voucher program, and advocates for small businesses, job training, and higher wages.
