Iowa QB Starter Remains Unclear

Iowa offensive coordinator Tim Lester said the 5-1 Hawkeyes have not decided whether to return to a pitch-count approach at quarterback, after Hank Brown emerged as the starter and Jeremy Hecklinski made a push with a strong outing against Washington. Lester said he is evaluating the quarterback situation during the bye week, while noting that the offense has worked toward greater balance, with roughly 1,200 yards rushing and 1,200 passing through six games. He praised the team’s veteran playmakers for setting an example as new starters adjust, and said the offense still has room to improve.
