Iowa State Upsets No. 24 Oklahoma State

Iowa State beat No. 24 Oklahoma State, 51-49, on a last-second field goal on Halloween night, earning Jimmy Rogers his first ranked win as Cyclones coach. The Cyclones rebounded from a three-point performance the week before with 581 yards of offense, led by Aiden Flora’s 221 rushing yards and two touchdowns; Jamal Polite Jr. added 171 receiving yards. The close finish continued a series in which the teams’ last 11 meetings have all been decided by seven points or fewer. Recruits attending the game praised Iowa State’s performance, while commentary also questioned whether the upset would prove meaningful if the Cyclones do not finish Big 12 play strongly.
