Israel approves limited ISF entry into Gaza pilot

Israel's security cabinet approved a limited entry of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) into Gaza under the Board of Peace plan tied to Donald Trump's framework, granting the ISF immunity and coordinating with the IDF while operating outside areas still controlled by Israel. The decision, a step toward a Rafah-based pilot humanitarian zone, was backed by Foreign Minister Gideon Saar and opposed by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who argued Hamas remains armed and proposed alternatives such as migration. Israel said it would maintain the Yellow Line and would not withdraw until Hamas is disarmed and Gaza demilitarized, with ISF deployment subject to high-level approvals from the prime minister, defense minister, and foreign minister. The initial ISF contingent would be small and drawn from friendly countries, supporting civilian rehabilitation, aid delivery, and operations in Rafah. Civilian administration would be led by a Palestinian technocratic body, with ISF personnel providing defense backing to prevent Hamas infiltration as part of a broader but contested step under Trump's peace plan.
