Jackson appoints Caroline Ballentine city judge
Local governments and voters made several changes to judicial offices. In Loveland, Colorado, the City Council voted to begin recruiting a new municipal judge after declining to renew Jennifer Edgley’s contract; her tenure included launching a community court and expanding services for defendants. In Jackson, Tennessee, the City Council appointed assistant public defender Caroline Ballentine as its next city court judge after interviewing applicants. Miami-Dade voters appeared to elect Arthur LeMar “Marty” McNeil and Rita Maria Baez to circuit judge seats, while voting to retain several other judges.
