Jackson State beats Tulane 87-85
Jackson State edged Tulane 87-85, with Daeshun Ruffin hitting the decisive free throw with one second remaining. Dorian McMillian scored 23 points and Mike Williams added 20 for the Tigers, while Tulane’s TJ Nadeau and Carson Schwieger had 16 apiece. The win came after Tulane opened the season by beating UT Martin 100-98 in double overtime, as Krystian Lewis scored a career-high 40 points and made the game-winning free throw. Tulane’s matchup with Jackson State followed that dramatic victory, though the Tigers left New Orleans with the win.
