Jacksonville Air Show Plans First Blue Angels-Thunderbirds Pairing
Naval Air Station Jacksonville will host a free, no-ticket air show Oct. 17–18, featuring the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds together for the first time at the base. Gates open at 9 a.m., with flying beginning at 11 a.m.; the Blue Angels are scheduled to perform at 2:30 p.m. The program also includes the Air Force’s C-17 East Coast Demo Team, more than a dozen static aircraft displays, food booths and a Kids Zone, with a practice show on Oct. 16 for invited groups and people with base access. Visitors will be directed to the Allegheny Gate, and adults must bring a government-issued photo ID; organizers expect large crowds and traffic delays.
