Jacobs Returns as Packers’ League-Worst Run Game Struggles
The Green Bay Packers’ struggling rushing attack remains a major concern as the team seeks a fourth straight playoff berth: through seven games, Green Bay averaged just 59.9 rushing yards per game, the NFL’s lowest mark, amid injuries to its offensive line. Josh Jacobs returned from a six-game absence and rushed for 36 yards on 11 carries in a 20-17 loss to Detroit, while adding 55 receiving yards; he also dropped a late end-zone pass that could have put the Packers ahead. Jacobs said the running backs need to play more physically and help energize the offense, and he believes he has shaken off the rust. His return has not yet restored the balance Green Bay hoped for, leaving the Packers looking for improvement from both Jacobs and the injury-hit line.
