Jax Taylor Seeks Legal Single Status in Divorce

Jax Taylor has asked a judge to declare him legally single while he and Brittany Cartwright continue negotiating financial, property and support terms in their divorce. His attorney says their marriage is beyond repair and argues the case has made little progress without a trial date; Taylor says he wants to move on as an unmarried person. Taylor also seeks more than $9,000 in sanctions, alleging Cartwright was unprepared to negotiate at a recent settlement conference. A source for Cartwright has disputed that she is responsible for delays, saying she has participated in good faith and is seeking a fair resolution, especially for their son, Cruz. Cartwright filed for divorce in August 2024 after the couple’s five-year marriage; the judge has not yet ruled on Taylor’s request.
