Jefferson City Seeks New Amphitheater Operator

Jefferson City is seeking proposals for a new company to operate and manage the Capital Region Amphitheater after VenuWorks declined to extend its five-year agreement, which began in 2021. Proposals are due Nov. 20, and the Parks Department expects to review them and recommend a partner in December. The new operator would handle concert bookings, concessions, advertising and other event operations, while the city remains committed to holding its free Big Fans of JCMO summer concert series in 2027 regardless of who is selected. VenuWorks’ latest reported figures showed $216,524 in income and $206,253 in expenses for the program year to date.
