Jewish Activist Says Student Assaulted Her at Michigan Campus Event

Jewish conservative activist Liz Benichou said she was assaulted and threatened by a University of Michigan student during a campus event organized by Liberty Under Fire USA. Video described in reports shows the student shoving Benichou to the ground and attempting to kick her; Benichou also alleged the student struck another activist with a cellphone. Police said they arrested a student after responding to the incident, then released her and referred the case to prosecutors for review. Benichou said the student threatened to kill her and said she would return to a psychiatric hospital if that enabled her to carry out the threat.
