Erik Jones re-signs with Legacy Motor Club through 2027

Erik Jones signed a multi-year extension keeping him in Legacy Motor Club's No. 43 Toyota Camry XSE through 2027 and beyond. The team announced the deal Saturday, September 27, 2026, at Kansas Speedway as it prepares to add Josh Berry in the No. 42 and Riley Herbst in the No. 84 next season. Jones has been with the organization since 2021 through its shifts from Richard Petty Motorsports to Petty GMS and Legacy, recording one victory, 10 top-fives and 37 top-10s in the car, including the 2022 Southern 500 that ended an eight-year drought for the number. Jones said he is excited to continue building with the team after a consistent 2026 stretch that saw him rise from 28th in points after Las Vegas to 14th by June, with a runner-up at Michigan. Co-owner Jimmie Johnson called him the cornerstone who has earned that role for his consistency and knowledge as new drivers arrive.
