JPMorgan names O’Donovan next HR chief
JPMorgan Chase has named longtime executive Mark O’Donovan its next global head of human resources, effective January 2027, succeeding Robin Leopold, who plans to retire in the first quarter of that year. O’Donovan, who has spent three decades at the bank in roles including commercial and investment bank CFO and chief executive of Chase Auto and Home Lending, will move from London to New York and join the operating committee. His appointment comes as JPMorgan expands its use of artificial intelligence and manages workforce changes, including plans to redeploy some employees and hire more AI specialists. Leopold, who has led HR since 2018, was praised for guiding the organization through the pandemic, geopolitical challenges and technology-driven change. Daniel Llano Manibardo is set to take over O’Donovan’s international consumer banking role, while O’Donovan and Leopold will work together on the transition.
