Justin Thomas Withdraws From FedExCup Fall Opener

Justin Thomas withdrew from the inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville, the opening event of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Fall, eliminating his planned tune-up before the Presidents Cup. No reason was given for the late withdrawal, and Cameron Champ is expected to replace him in the field. Thomas, a U.S. captain’s pick, will enter his fourth Presidents Cup without competitive action since last month’s BMW Championship, following a season affected by his recovery from back surgery. Seven other Presidents Cup players remain entered, including U.S. representatives Jacob Bridgeman and Jackson Koivun and International players Corey Conners, Nick Taylor, Nico Echavarria, Ryo Hisatsune and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.
