Kansas State Opens Klein Era With 71-3 Win

Kansas State opened the Collin Klein era with a dominant 71-3 victory over Nicholls, giving the Wildcats their highest point total since 2000. Quarterback Avery Johnson completed 15 of 21 passes for 199 yards and accounted for four touchdowns, while Rodney Fields Jr. rushed for 101 yards and a score.
