Kenny Chesney Mourns Goldendoodle Poncho After 15 Years Together

Kenny Chesney is mourning Poncho, his goldendoodle and companion of 15 years, who died at 5:15 a.m. on Oct. 28. In a social media tribute, Chesney said Poncho brought joy and taught him about unconditional love, recalling their time together on boats, buses and in Key West, as well as Poncho’s 2024 appearance onstage at Chicago’s Soldier Field. Chesney also remembered sharing Poncho with Mary Nolan and said he would miss their bond, which he believes will endure; he asked Poncho to say hello to Da Ruba Girl, his dog who died in 2022.
