Kincora Plans 25,000m NSW Drilling Campaign
Kincora Copper has approved up to A$3 million for more than 25,000 metres of air-core drilling across about 340 holes at 17 copper-gold and porphyry targets in four Central West New South Wales projects: Nyngan West, Fairholme, Cowal East and Trundle. The campaign is intended to expand known mineralized systems, test new targets and refine geological models ahead of larger exploration programs, while the company continues discussions with potential asset-level partners. Kincora said its last reported cash balance was about A$12 million and that additional proceeds from the US$10 million sale of its Mongolian assets should strengthen its funding position. Partner-funded exploration, including work supported by AngloGold Ashanti, will continue alongside the company-funded program, consistent with Kincora’s hybrid prospect-generator strategy. Investors have responded positively to the expanded New South Wales focus, but the company remains a speculative, pre-revenue explorer exposed to drilling results, funding needs, commodity prices and project execution risks.
