KKR to Sell Infinity Transportation to Ares for $2.9 Billion
KKR agreed to sell railcar-leasing company Infinity Transportation to funds managed by Ares Management for an enterprise value of about $2.9 billion. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals. Founded in 2004, Infinity owns and manages about 50,000 railcars leased to more than 350 customers across the United States, Canada and Mexico. KKR said Infinity expanded its fleet and increased its book value by 150% since 2021 under its ownership; its subsidiary Global Atlantic has held an investment in the company since 2016.
