Kraken’s McCann Sidelined 10 Weeks With Injury
Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann is expected to miss about 10 weeks with a lower-body injury and has been placed on injured reserve, leaving the team without one of its leading scorers for much of the next three months. McCann has eight points in 11 games this season and has been a key contributor since joining Seattle; he also missed 30 games last season with injuries. The Kraken recalled prospect Jani Nyman, while Kaapo Kakko moved to the top line in McCann’s absence. Seattle, off to a strong start, will need to adjust its lineup as it tries to maintain its position in the Pacific Division.
