Kyle Busch Tribute Car Debuts at Bristol
Ty Gibbs will drive a special M&M’s-themed No. 54 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing at Bristol Motor Speedway’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race, honoring the late Kyle Busch, who died in May at age 41. The paint scheme revives the colors Busch made famous during his long tenure with Joe Gibbs Racing and Mars, while adapting the number from Busch’s No. 18 to Gibbs’ No. 54. Busch’s widow, Samantha, and their children, Brexton and Lennix, took part in the emotional unveiling and ceremony, celebrating his strong connection to Bristol. Busch won two Cup Series championships and recorded some of his greatest successes at Bristol, including multiple victories across NASCAR’s top three national series and two weekend sweeps. Gibbs, Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin described the tribute as meaningful and acknowledged the pressure and emotion of carrying Busch’s legacy back onto the track.
