L’Oréal, Natura, Galderma test treatments for ‘Ozempic face’
L’Oréal, Galderma and Natura are testing or adapting skincare and aesthetic treatments for facial sagging, loss of firmness and volume associated with rapid weight loss, often called “Ozempic face.” Experts stress that these changes are linked to rapid weight loss, not directly to GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound. Galderma is studying its collagen-stimulating Sculptra and hyaluronic-acid filler Restylane, while L’Oréal and Natura are exploring products for people using weight-loss medications. Industry forecasts point to a growing market for clinical treatments, though experts caution that topical skincare has limits for restoring lost facial volume and injectables may be more effective. The companies’ push reflects rising consumer demand as use of weight-loss drugs expands.
