Lapon drilling reports 47-metre gold intercept
Drilling at the Lapon Canyon Gold Project in Nevada returned broad gold-bearing intercepts, led by 2.07 grams per tonne over 47.25 meters in hole LC-26-175 and 2.02 grams per tonne over 48.77 meters in LC-26-179, including a higher-grade section of 6.61 grams per tonne over 7.62 meters. The results add evidence of gold mineralization hosted in monzonite and will inform geological modeling and the project’s initial mineral resource estimate. Drilling has faced rig availability and ground-condition problems, while assay-lab backlogs have delayed the estimate; it is now expected in the first half of 2027. Nevada Canyon is funding exploration under a three-year earn-in agreement to acquire up to a 50% interest in the project.
