Las Cruces police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after finding Angelica Aguirre, 30, and her boyfriend, Shane Perez, 46, dead in their home Saturday morning. Investigators believe Perez shot Aguirre and then himself. The couple’s five children, ages 3 to 14, were inside the home and have been placed temporarily with a relative; the investigation is ongoing.
