Lena Dunham Welcomes First Child via Surrogate

Lena Dunham and musician Luis Felber have welcomed their first child, a daughter, via surrogate, and marked their fifth wedding anniversary. In a Vogue essay, Dunham described her joy at meeting her daughter and said she felt no jealousy about not carrying her, crediting the trust she developed with the surrogate. Dunham has spoken about fertility challenges and endometriosis, and previously had a hysterectomy. In an anniversary tribute, she called Felber a wonderful husband and father and reflected on how a blind date led to their marriage.
