LEPAS signs five dealers in Romania and receives first L8 PHEVs

Chery Auto’s premium new-energy vehicle brand LEPAS is expanding across Europe, with the LEPAS L8 PHEV preparing for launches in the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Romania and other markets. In Romania, LEPAS signed five dealers in Sibiu and received its first batch of L8 PHEVs, creating an initial sales and service network ahead of customer test drives. The brand says its European strategy combines product launches, pre-orders and local service infrastructure, with the L8 PHEV developed around European safety and road-condition requirements. LEPAS also reports growing recognition for its L4 EV and L6 EV in Indonesia and Italy, while the L8 PHEV and L6 EV have been shortlisted for the 2027 World Car of the Year. The expansion builds on Chery Group’s reported growth in Europe, including more than 7 million vehicle exports globally and a claim that it led the United Kingdom’s monthly new-car brand sales rankings in August.
