LianLian Global has partnered with PayPal to let its social-commerce, marketplace and e-commerce clients pay creators, influencers, developers and contractors directly through PayPal worldwide and Venmo in the United States. PayPal payouts are available in 96 countries and can be addressed using a recipient’s email or phone number; the offering also includes Venmo payments and mass disbursements through PayPal Payouts for Platforms. The arrangement is designed to speed up payments while avoiding checks, postage and the need to collect recipients’ bank-account and routing details. The companies say the service combines LianLian’s cross-border payment and foreign-exchange capabilities with PayPal’s wallet network to support platforms paying sellers and other independent workers.
