New York Fashion Week Shifts to Creator Brand Events and Deals
New York Fashion Week has evolved from an industry event centered on runway shows into a major influencer-marketing opportunity, with agencies organizing packed schedules of sponsored dinners, brand suites, launches and parties. Although 70 shows and presentations are on the official calendar, many of the creators traveling to New York will not attend them; agencies are instead bringing large rosters and staff to connect influencers with brands. The shift reflects the growing commercial value of creators: deals that once consisted mainly of invitations can now include separate fees for attendance, runway appearances and promotional posts, with packages reportedly reaching at least $25,000. Industry executives say the creator presence expanded as traditional Fashion Week participation declined and Instagram helped fill the gap, making the week more accessible beyond its formerly exclusive front rows.
