Sarasota Restaurants Close, Pub Sale Announced

Shakespeare’s Craft Beer & Gastro Pub in Sarasota is being sold as its longtime owners retire after 22 years; the pub will stay open, and the new owner has said there are no immediate plans for changes. The family-run spot became known for its craft and imported beer selection and signature burgers, including its Caramelized Onion & Brie Burger. Elsewhere in Sarasota, Georgie’s and Bar George at University Town Center has permanently closed after nearly five years, adding to restaurant turnover in the district. In central Pennsylvania, Steak Diner near New Cumberland also closed permanently, less than a year after opening, with its owners thanking customers for their support.
