Costumed-Dog Events Support Local Causes

Community events in Ohio and Louisiana held costumed-dog festivities to support local services. A puppy parade in Boardman raised money for Tails of Togetherness Society to buy and train a service dog for a Mahoning County veteran, while Shreveport’s Dogtoberfest benefited Robinson’s Rescue and its low-cost spay-and-neuter programs. New York’s annual Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade also featured dogs and owners in elaborate costumes. Other coverage included personal reflections on pets and a local forecast featuring a Golden Retriever, rather than additional community initiatives.
