Phoenix Coffee Shop Celebrates Mexican Brujas

Brew-Ja’s Coffee in south Phoenix is celebrating its first anniversary with a year-round witchy atmosphere inspired by co-owner Ana Sevillano’s Mexican heritage and personal interests. Sevillano and co-owner Leo Roque created the shop after a disappointing coffee date, decorating it with witch and Halloween motifs, artwork, tarot items and other handmade touches. The couple recently added a basement gift shop featuring items such as jewelry, incense and Sevillano’s candles, while the menu includes specialty drinks like the dark-chocolate-and-hazelnut Black Magic latte.
