Sacramento Bars and Bakeries Add Día de los Muertos Menus and Cocktails
Día de los Muertos celebrations pair remembrance of departed loved ones with food, drinks and community gatherings. In the Sacramento area, bakeries and shops are offering traditional pan de muerto and sugar skulls, while local bars and restaurants are hosting themed events with special menus, cocktails, altars and tributes. A separate recipe campaign from the National Mango Board gives traditional holiday foods and drinks a mango twist, including pan de muerto, chicken mole, mangonadas and margaritas. Rumorosa is also planning an intimate dinner built around tequila- and mezcal-infused courses, each paired with a cocktail.
