Four Toys Join National Toy Hall of Fame

Bingo, Care Bears, the Pokémon Trading Card Game and the playground slide are the National Toy Hall of Fame’s 2026 inductees, selected from 12 finalists and joining 90 previously honored toys. The Strong National Museum of Play cited the toys’ lasting appeal and their roles in play, learning and discovery. The selections span generations: bingo has roots in a 16th-century Italian lottery, while Pokémon cards and Care Bears have built enduring followings; the simple slide is recognized for encouraging children’s movement and exploration. The induction also reflects the continued popularity of nostalgic toys among adults as well as children.
