Lightwave Logic appoints telecom executive Kennedy to expanded board

Lightwave Logic has appointed telecom and networking executive Edward H. Kennedy to its board, effective September 23, 2026, expanding it from six members to seven. Kennedy brings more than 30 years of leadership experience, including executive roles at CENX, Tollgrade Communications, Tellabs and other technology companies, as well as board service at Extreme Networks. The company says his background in public-company governance, corporate transformation and mergers and acquisitions will support its commercial strategy for electro-optic polymers used in photonic devices targeting telecommunications, data centers and AI infrastructure.
