Lindsay Clancy Expected in Court After Mistrial

Lindsay Clancy is scheduled to return to court September 29 for a status conference after her triple-murder trial ended in a mistrial on September 4, when jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict. Her defense is seeking to block a second trial, arguing that the judge improperly declared a mistrial without sufficiently investigating complaints about a holdout juror; attorneys have also sought information about that juror and a finding of not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility. Clancy admitted killing her three children in January 2023 but argued she was suffering from postpartum psychosis. Prosecutors have not said whether they will retry the case.
