Lockdowns Disrupt Schools Across Three States

Several schools in the United States restricted access or temporarily paused activities after safety concerns. Heritage High School in California lifted a precautionary lockdown after authorities found no campus threat; the person seen on the roof was a district employee doing maintenance. In Arkansas, Carlisle Elementary’s lockdown lasted about 10 minutes after police reported an incident elsewhere in the city, with the district saying the campus was not threatened. Spring Hill ISD in Texas placed its junior high and high school on hold because of a security threat, dismissing students and canceling some events, while a Kentucky elementary school delayed dismissal during a precautionary lockdown as staff awaited law enforcement clearance.
