Louisiana early voting opens with 10 amendments on ballot
Louisiana’s Nov. 3 election includes a U.S. Senate race, all six U.S. House seats, local contests and 10 proposed state constitutional amendments. Early voting runs Oct. 20–27, with polls closed Sunday, Oct. 25. Among the amendments, one would let New Orleans use $150 million in secured federal funds to replace hazardous lead water pipes; three others address property-tax benefits for seniors and surviving spouses of disabled veterans, with supporters citing expanded protections and critics warning of lost local revenue. Voters will also choose two Public Service Commission members as the panel considers major electricity projects tied to the growth of data centers and artificial intelligence.
