M&S Makes London Fashion Week Debut, Marks Centenary
Marks & Spencer made its first appearance on the London Fashion Week runway as it celebrated 100 years in fashion with a capsule collection blending the retailer’s heritage with updated menswear and womenswear. The show at the Design Museum featured celebrity guests and ambassadors, underscoring M&S’s effort to modernize its image while maintaining its focus on quality and value. The collection includes tailored suits, outerwear, dresses and accessible statement pieces such as Per Una’s sheer pleated blouse, which drew comparisons to luxury fashion. M&S is also making the event directly shoppable by livestreaming the runway and allowing viewers to purchase featured items online and through stores. The retailer’s fashion archive is marking the occasion with a free showcase of historical films, advertisements and clothing footage.
