Manufacturing pmis rise in the us, uk and poland
Manufacturing surveys showed improving activity across the United States, the United Kingdom and Poland. The U.S. ISM PMI reached 55.5, beating expectations and the prior month’s reading of 54.5, signaling expansion. In the UK, the PMI rose to 52.8, a five-month high, as output and new orders accelerated and export demand strengthened; however, rising input costs and a pause in hiring tempered the upbeat picture. Poland’s PMI climbed from 49.0 to 50.0, its highest reading in 18 months and a return to the threshold separating contraction from expansion. Taken together, the results point to stronger manufacturing momentum, though cost pressures and employment caution remain concerns in the UK.
