Marching Bands Advance to Multiple State Finals

Several high school marching bands have advanced in their state competition seasons. George West earned unanimous top ratings at regional competition and reached area for the sixth straight year, but did not make the area contest’s final 10. Washington and Vincennes Lincoln advanced to Indiana’s Class C state finals, while Eagle Pass C.C. Winn placed second at area and qualified for Texas’ UIL 5A state competition. Fayetteville High School’s marching band also claimed a Class 2 state title.
