ESPN analyst Marcus Spears became emotional during Monday Night Countdown after the broadcast surprised him with footage of his son, Marcus Spears Jr., entering the arena for his college basketball debut with Texas. Spears was working in Seattle and had considered skipping his broadcast duties to attend, but said he and his wife had prepared their son for the moment. Spears Jr. scored 11 points, grabbed five rebounds and recorded four blocks in Texas’ 109-59 win over Chicago State.
