Marine Corps Marathon expected to close roads across DC, Arlington
The 51st Marine Corps Marathon will bring tens of thousands of runners to Arlington and Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Oct. 25, with road closures beginning as early as Saturday and extending into Sunday evening. Closures will affect key routes near the Pentagon, Rosslyn, Crystal City and the National Mall, including portions of Richmond Highway, Route 110, Langston Boulevard and Spout Run Parkway; the Key and Memorial bridges will also close during race hours. Officials warn that reopening times may vary and advise motorists to expect delays, check closure information and use alternate routes or public transportation. Metro will open early Sunday, with the Pentagon and Pentagon City stations serving the start and Rosslyn serving the finish area.
