The Dallas Mavericks waived guard John Poulakidas and guard-forward Seth Lundy as they finalized their roster before the 2026-27 season. Poulakidas, who held a two-way contract, averaged seven points in three preseason games and scored 16 against New Orleans; Lundy averaged 5.5 points across four preseason appearances. The moves opened a two-way roster spot and gave Dallas more flexibility as it completed its roster decisions. The Mavericks begin the season against the Houston Rockets on Oct. 21.
